Privacy Policy

Effective 8 September 2026. Total Money is designed to keep financial information under your control.

Data you enter

Accounts, categories, income sources, operations, budgets and notes are stored locally on your device. Total Money does not require registration and does not send this data to the developer’s servers.

iCloud backups

If you enable automatic backup, Total Money encrypts a copy of your data before storing it in your private iCloud database. The random encryption key is kept in your synchronized iCloud Keychain. Apple’s iCloud terms and privacy practices also apply.

Imports and exports

CSV files selected for import are processed by the app. CSV exports are not encrypted and are saved or shared only where you choose. Password-protected MoneyWay backup files are encrypted before export.

Exchange rates

When exchange rates are requested, the request does not contain profile names, account names, notes, transaction amounts or other financial records.

Diagnostics

The app may keep limited technical logs locally for up to 7 days or 5 MB. These logs exclude financial values, names, notes, raw CSV data and backup contents. Logs leave the device only when you explicitly export and share diagnostics.

Tracking and advertising

Total Money contains no advertising, advertising identifiers or third-party analytics, and does not track you across apps or websites.

Security and authentication

App lock uses Apple system authentication with Face ID, Touch ID or your device passcode. Total Money does not receive or store biometric data or your device passcode.

Changes and contact

This policy may be updated as the app develops. The effective date above will change when material revisions are published. Questions can be sent to support@totalmoneyapp.com.
